Japanese Baseball Innovator Visits Beach City Baseball Academy

This week, Beach City Baseball Academy had the honor of hosting a special guest from across the Pacific: renowned Japanese baseball coach and training innovator, Yoshi Fukuhara, also known by his Instagram handle @jacksbeer1207.

Fukuhara is one of Japan’s most respected skill development coaches and the creator of the innovative AQUA bat, a clear, liquid-filled training tool that’s changing how players build swing consistency and core control. With over 75,000 followers and a loyal global fanbase, Coach Yoshi has become a household name in the world of progressive baseball training.

During his visit, Coach Yoshi toured the BCBA facility, met with our coaching staff, and shared insights into how Japanese players train from a young age. It was a powerful cultural and athletic exchange. He even stepped into one of our cages and demonstrated the AQUA bat in action, drawing the attention of players and coaches alike.

For our BCBA community, the visit was a reminder that baseball is truly a global game and that excellence comes from constant curiosity, innovation, and collaboration.
