In a town filled with youth sports options, Beach City Baseball Academy (BCBA) stands out, not because of its size or flash, but because of its heart. For over a decade, BCBA has operated as a family-run business with one simple mission: to serve families. And not just serve them, but welcome them into something deeper: a true baseball family.
At BCBA, being “a Beach City Family” goes far beyond the game. It’s not just about winning tournaments or chasing rankings. It’s about building something lasting. From the moment families walk through the doors, they’re treated as part of the team. The facility becomes a second home, where kids feel known, supported, and challenged to grow on and off the field.
“We’ve always believed that loyalty, growth, and sportsmanship are the foundation of what we do,” says Richard Murad, Owner of BCBA. “That doesn’t stop with the players. It extends to the parents, siblings, coaches, and even alumni who still come back to train or just check in.”
There’s a deep sense of investment that comes with being part of BCBA. Families are encouraged to pour into the experience while they’re here, whether for a season or several years. The community that forms is tight-knit, often staying connected long after a player hangs up their cleats.
In a world where youth sports can sometimes feel transactional and prioritize performance over people, BCBA offers something different: access, trust, and connection. Players are given space to grow, learn from mistakes, and celebrate their wins. Parents are trusted partners in the process. And coaches are mentors, not just instructors.
“We don’t just rent out cages or run clinics. We give our families access like it’s their home, because to us, it is,” Shelly Murad, Manager adds.
As fall approaches and a new season begins, BCBA remains committed to its roots. More than a baseball academy, it continues to be a home base for young athletes and the people who raise them.
Because at the end of the day, anyone can join a team. But becoming a Beach City Family? That’s something special.
