El Segundo, CA | May 15, 2025 — Beach City Baseball Academy (BCBA), one of Southern California’s most trusted names in youth baseball development, is proud to announce the opening of its brand-new artificial turf field directly across from its home base on East Grand Avenue.
After 15 years of championship wins, community growth, and player development, this field represents more than just an upgrade. It’s a reflection of the Academy’s commitment to excellence, its athletes, and the future of the game.
A Proven Track Record of Success
Since opening its doors in 2010, BCBA has grown into a hub for aspiring athletes at every level. From elite travel teams like the Beach City Prospects to private instruction, specialty clinics, and seasonal camps, BCBA has helped shape the next generation of baseball talent.
Its impact is undeniable. In the 2023 Little League World Series, eight of the twelve championship players from El Segundo Little League trained at BCBA from the age of eight.
The Academy was also behind a major win at the Bruce World Series, where the team comprised nine players from BCBA.
Rooted in Community, Reaching the World
BCBA is more than a training facility. It is a deeply connected community partner. Over the last 15 years, the Academy has contributed more than $500,000 to local Little League programs and charitable efforts. It has also been home to one of the area’s only no-cost baseball clinics for children with special needs, offering individualized coaching and a welcoming environment for all.
The Academy also maintains an international partnership with Kitasuna Baseball Academy in Tokyo, a globally respected program with multiple Little League World Series titles. Through this collaboration, BCBA hosts the Kitasuna team for tournaments in El Segundo, with local families opening their homes to visiting players, promoting cultural exchange and global camaraderie, giving athletes from both countries a one-of-a-kind experience that builds friendships through baseball.
A Field That Matches the Mission
The new turf field raises the bar with a high-performance playing surface and a hand-painted mural celebrating legends of the game and Beach City families and coaches who have been with us from the start. Designed to inspire, it’s a visual and functional centerpiece that matches the energy and standard of BCBA’s players and programs.
“We’ve built our Academy around the belief that young athletes deserve the best,” said Shelly Murad, General Manager of BCBA. “This new field is a symbol of how far we’ve come and where we’re going. It gives our players the surface, the space, and the inspiration to keep growing.”
Now Open to the Public and Ready for Your Team
For the first time in Beach City Baseball Academy history, Prospect Park will officially open to the public. Local teams and organizations can now rent the same high-performance field our Prospects teams train and compete on. Whether you’re booking for team practices, small group training, or hosting an event, this is your chance to experience the BCBA standard.
In addition, BCBA is also offering a limited number of advertising opportunities for local businesses through banner placements around the new field. This is a unique chance to showcase your brand in front of hundreds of families, athletes, and community members every week.
