Beach City Prospects 14U Go Undefeated to Win the USSSA International World Series

This past weekend, our 14U Beach City Prospects closed out their chapter in the most fitting way possible: with a dominant, undefeated run at the USSSA International World Series, taking home the championship in the 14U Major Division.
Led by Coaches Ryan Lopez and Kirk Hatfield, the team went 9-0, outplaying opponents from across the country with grit, discipline, and a level of chemistry that only comes from years of playing together. This tournament marks the end of an era, and it’s a remarkable one. Most of them have been with BCBA since they were 8 years old. They've spent thousands of hours training on our fields, in our cages, and traveling together as teammates and friends.
Their success hasn’t come overnight. This is a group that’s built something real over time. They’ve grown up in this program, not just as baseball players, but as outstanding young men and members of their community. Many were also part of the 2023 Little League World Series championship team, and to see them end their Beach City years with yet another title only adds to the legacy they’ve created together.
It’s easy to get caught up in the trophies, and they’ve earned plenty, but what really stands out about this group is how they’ve consistently shown up for each other. The way they compete. The way they carry themselves. The way they’ve become leaders, not just on the field, but within our facility.
This week, they graduate. They’ll head off to high school programs, some to national showcases, others to brand-new environments where they’ll continue to grow. But they’ll always be a part of this place. This group has helped define what it means to be a Prospect. And we couldn’t be more proud of how they’re closing out their time here with humility, effort, and excellence.
We’ll miss having them around every day, but we’ll always be rooting for them. Wherever the next steps take them, the doors at BCBA will always be open.
